BCA Peterborough’s recent Motorbike Super Sale was a major success as buyers packed the auction hall to bid on a superb selection of over 200 bikes. With a wide range of bikes, scooters and quadbikes representing major brands including Yamaha, BMW, Ducati and Triumph, bidding was fast and furious throughout the event, generating a significant sales turnover in excess of £700,000.
Online buyers were particularly active, bidding on nearly half of the sale entry. Pre-sale, the online catalogue attracted over 60,000 views – meaning each bike was viewed, on average, nearly 300 times.
Major vendors Black Horse Motors, BMW Group Fleet and John Clark all performed strongly. Black Horse saw every one of its 138 bikes in the catalogue sold, while sections for BMW and John Clarke were near sell-outs.
Top value on the day went to the Harley-Davidson CVO Ultra touring bike, which sold for £18,200. Ducati also attracted the buyers, with the three Superleggara 1199 models on offer selling for £12,300, £11,700 and £11,000.
Graham Sims, Branch Manager at BCA Peterborough said “We had an incredible range of bikes on offer and were expecting a good turnout of buyers and we were not disappointed. The auction hall was packed and there was strong online bidding activity from trade buyers in the UK and Europe. It was an exceptionally successful sale that achieved a significant turnover and we’re already looking forward to the next motorbike sale at BCA Peterborough.”
BCA Peterborough stages Motorcycle sales on the last Friday of every month. Next sale is Friday 28th July at 1pm.
