BCA goes back to the future with classics sale

BCA stages its third Future Classics sale at BCA Nottingham on 17 May, with an eclectic mix of sportscars, family saloons, performance cars and prestige models on offer on the day, which also includes a specialist Top Car sale, from 10.00 am.

Among the cars on offer:

BMW 1 Series M3 Coupe
This smartly presented two-door coupe from 2012 is complete with service history and has covered just over 41,000 miles.  Finished in black with leather trim, climate control, parking sensors and 19" Alloy Wheels, it pairs the 3.0 litre M-Sport petrol engine with a manual gearbox.  Originally costing around £40,000 depending on options these M3 Coupes hold their value well.

Mercedes-Benz SL350 3.7 – Convertible
Registered in 2003 and finished in silver, this SL350 Convertible is well presented with a mileage of nearly 130,000. The powerful 3.7 litre engine delivers a great performance and it has the auto/manual mode gearbox.  With an original cost new of £58,000, this represents a great opportunity to acquire a future classic convertible for a very reasonable value.

Volvo 1800 2.0 ES Estate
The classic lines of the Volvo 1800 Estate have aged well and this 1973 example finished in gold has the manual gearbox with overdrive.  Due to its age this Volvo qualifies under DVLA classic status and is exempt from vehicle tax.  It comes with old style logbook and is showing a mileage of 88,000 (unwarranted).

Ford Escort 1.6i Cabriolet
Dating from 1981 this well presented Escort Cabriolet is complete with V5, service history and has a low warranted mileage of 44,455 miles.  The two-door cabriolet body is finished in white with black roll bar and hood, with RS 2000 black interior trim and 16" alloy RS wheels.  An exceptionally well-preserved example that will interest Ford Escort enthusiasts.

Ford Escort 2.0 RS 2000 4X4
The 1996 N-registered RS2000 4x4 will also generate plenty of interest, as this was a rare car even back in the nineties.  Finished in red, the bodywork is in excellent cosmetic condition and it has the black RS interior and is fitted with a sunroof.  Offered with service history and the V5 is present.

Online catalogue entries for both Ford Escort models include a 360 degree video appraisal so potential buyers can see the vehicles in detail.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 6.2
Finished in silver, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG four-door saloon would have cost around £50,000 when new.  This well-presented example has covered just over 46,000 miles (warranted) and is complete with service history and V5.  It has a factory fitted sunroof, with a leather trimmed interior and climate control.

This imported Subaru Impreza 4-door saloon is badged as a WRX-STi model and is finished in silver with two-tone grey cloth interior.  The mileage of 82,733 is warranted and the V5 is present.

A broad selection of prestige and sporting models will also be offered in the Top Car sale staged at BCA Nottingham on the same day including the very desirable Ferrari F355 3.5 GTS Targa F1 dating from 1999.  This supercar has covered under 25,000 miles from new and is finished in Rosso Red – the original cost new was over £100,000.

BCA spokesman Tim Naylor commented “Our Future Classics sale attracts a great deal of interest from trade buyers and private enthusiasts. The sale catalogue features a great mix of classic and performance cars and we expect further examples to be consigned for the sale over the coming days.”

The Future Classics sale takes place at BCA Nottingham, Victoria Business Park, NG4 2PE on Thursday, 17 May, commencing at 1.00 pm.
